1. PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
- The Boilermaker Plater needs provide engineering technical service to underground area. Maintain, install and commission of the machinery and equipment to an agreed standard in the area of responsibility.

2. WORK OF ROLE
- Applying appropriate tools to complete tasks
- Attend to breakdowns and emergencies as required
- Completing job cards and description of work and spares used (PM’s)
- Comply to environmental requirements
- Conducts and participate in risk assessments
- Ensure that material, spares, and equipment are available as required
- Maintains a high quality of work
- Provide timely and accurate information
- Records results of all legal examinations in the appropriate format
- Report at risk behaviour, incidents, and injuries

3. QUALIFICATIONS
- Grade 12
- Boilermaker Trade Certificate

4. EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Boilermaker Plater in the mining environment

5. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
- English literate (speak, read, and write)
- Must be able to do standby and overtime
- Must be familiar with risk assessments procedures
- Valid driving license
- Basic computer skills
