Shipping Admin clerk/import-export clerks wanted - Durban

A well-established, fast-paced industrial and commodities business operating across Africa, Asia, and Europe is looking for a hands-on Import & Export Shipping Administrator to join their team!

This role offers full ownership of the shipping lifecycle — from supplier coordination and documentation through to delivery and invoicing.
Duties & Responsibilities
What you’ll be doing:
Coordinating end-to-end import and export shipments across multiple regions
Liaising with international suppliers and customers across Africa, Asia, and Europe
Monitoring order status, production timelines, and shipment schedules
Managing all import/export documentation and ensuring full customs compliance
Handling letters of credit and coordinating international supplier payments
Working closely with clearing agents, transporters, and logistics partners
Tracking shipments and proactively updating stakeholders
Managing invoicing aligned to cargo delivery
Ideal candidates will have:
2+ years’ experience in a similar role with both imports & exports exposure essential
Steel industry experience is highly advantageous
Strong understanding of international trade processes, documentation, and Incoterms
Experience dealing with cross-border logistics, banks, and clearing agents
Highly organised with strong attention to detail
Able to work in a high-pressure, fast-moving environment
